“Think of us in this way, as servants of Christ and stewards of God’s mysteries. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.” – 1 Corinthians 4:1-2
God has given us much: The breath in our bodies, the time we have this day, our possessions, and the talents we bring to bear upon life’s challenges. We have done nothing to merit any of these things. They are ours because God generously gives them to us.
What we do with what we have been given is our gift to God. Christians call the disposition of our time, talents, and treasures stewardship, for just as a steward directs the use of things belonging to his king when the king is out of town, everything we use in this life ultimately belongs to God, and to Him we will someday give a reckoning for how we spent them.
If you are passionate about helping Christians realize that how we spend our lives matters deeply to God, the Stewardship Committee may be where you belong! The Committee meets throughout the year on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M. Please see the church calendar for meeting times.
